2527935 - Sales Quote Approval Status Changes to Not Started Automatically

Symptom

You've edited a sales quote with the Approval Status as Approved or Revision and after the editing, this status was set to Not Started automatically.

Environment

  • SAP Cloud for Customer

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Go to Sales work center.
  2. Go to Sales Quote view.
  3. Open Sales Quote ABC (ABC represents the sales quote ID), which has the Approval Status set as Approved or Revision.
  4. Press Edit.
  5. Perform any change.
  6. Save.
  7. The Approval Status changed automatically to Not Started.

Cause

This is the system's standard behavior. Once there is a change in a quote, the Approval Status is set to Not Started, as this change might have to be reviewed by the approver.

Resolution

If you need to edit approved/in revision quotes without reseting the Approval Status, you may contact your implementation manager or approach directly the SAP Cloud Service Center to check the possibility of achieving this with a custom implementation.
