2525944 - Error message trying to export a Software Collection after an upgrade

Symptom

After an upgrade to S/4HANA Cloud, when trying to export a Hotfix, the following error is displayed:

"Due to an upgrade, you must export the whole collection before a hotfix."

Environment

  • Exoport Software Collections
  • SAP S/4HANA Cloud

Cause

  • As stated by the system message, it is not possible to export a hotfix as the first export after an upgrade
  • the complete software collection must be exported first before it will be possible to export hotfixes for the collection

Resolution

From the SAP Help Portal, Extend and Integrate Your SAP S/4HANA Cloud, Export Software Collections, Hotfix section:

"Your first export after a system upgrade can only be a hotfix, if you have imported all exported software collections before an upgrade. Otherwise your first export must be a regular software collection."
