During Software Update Manager (SUM) upgrade, SUBMOD_SHDDBCLONE/DBCLONE phase fails with following error:
Last error code set:
Batch jobs (DBCLONE1) may still be running, check SM37 and SM21 for details
=========== Processes still running ===========
*ERROR:* Unable to login to SAP system using RFC. SAP background jobs may be
running. Check these background jobs manually.
The following Process IDs were formerly invoked by the update program with the
given name and are still running:
Type Name ProcessID Description
Batch job DBCLONE1 17424200/DBCLONE1
Batch job DBCLONE2 17424500/DBCLONE2
These processes must finish before you can continue! Be careful with stopping
any process manually.
For ABAP background jobs that are scheduled but not running, delete these jobs
using transaction SM37.
For OS processes, only choose "Continue" after checking with operating system
utilities that the processes are not related to the update program and the
Process IDs were reused by different processes!
In case the processes were invoked by the update program, *data loss* can
occur and your system may get destroyed!
01) - Exit program
02) - Check status again
03) - Wait for processes to finish
04) - I checked on OS level that these processes are
not related to the update program. Continue
