2516218 - SUM ABAP: Dump during the upgrade

Symptom

  • While performing an upgrade using the Software Update Manager (SUM) a abackground job fails with ST22 Dump
  • The output from ST22 is similar to below:

Error analysis
-------------------------------------------------------------------
A RAISE statement in the program "SAPLSUGI" raised the exception
condition "WRITE_FAILED".
Since the exception was not intercepted by a superior
program, processing was terminated.
  • The issue can occur in any phase where a batch job is run
