2500264 - SAP HANA Portal Fields Missing in Adaptation Mode

Symptom

SAP Hana Portal fields not visible in adaptation mode anymore.

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Log into the Silverlight client.
  2. Go to the Administrator work centre.
  3. Select the Service and Social view.
  4. Click the Portal Queue hyperlink under the Portal Adaptation section.
  5. Click on the Adapt button.
  6. Select the Enter Adaptation Mode option.
  7. Click on the Adapt button.
  8. Select the Edit Screen option.
  9. On the right hand side pane you see that the field ABC is not visible (ABC represents the name of the field).

Cause

The reason for the missing visibility of the respective field is that the Visible checkbox is flagged.

Resolution

In order to see the desired field again you have to use the following steps:

  1. Log into the Silverlight client.
  2. Go to the Administrator work centre.
  3. Select the Service and Social view.
  4. Click the Portal Queue hyperlink under the Portal Adaptation section.
  5. Click on the Adapt button.
  6. Select the Enter Adaptation Mode option.
  7. Click on the Adapt button.
  8. Select the Edit Screen option.
  9. Click the Revert button.
  10. This reverts the screen to its original stage.
  11. Execute the desired changes.
  12. Ensure that the Visible checkbox is not flagged.
  13. Save and publish the changes.

A browser cache refresh is required to see the new labels in the portal.
