2496597 - SAP HANA does not start due to an existing service lock file

Symptom

SAP HANA system does not start up. In the database traces you can find messages similar to the following:

[96593]{-1}[-1/-1] 2020-05-28 10:44:00.562460 w Basis ChannelListener.cpp(00101) : Unable to create socket for name: ...
[96593]{-1}[-1/-1] 2020-05-28 10:44:00.562461 w Basis ChannelListener.cpp(00101) : Application for this process will only work with 'hdbcons -p <pid>'
[96593]{-1}[-1/-1] 2020-05-28 10:44:00.568711 f self_watchdog SelfWatchdog.cpp(00277) : An instance of this service is already running.
You should consider checking if the process with the id <pid> is running
and of type hdbnameserver. If you are sure that there is no instance alive
remove the file /usr/sap/<SID>/HDB<PORT>/<hostname>/lock/hdbnameserver@30001.pid
and restart.
[96593]{-1}[-1/-1] 2020-05-28 10:44:00.568732 f Service TrexService.cpp(00620) : could not create lock file: 'hdbnameserver : 30001'

This issue may happen also on different services also such as indexserver, as shown below:

[4017]{-1}[-1/-1] 2017-06-01 02:33:31.045520 f Service TrexService.cpp(00656) : could not create lock file: 'hdbindexserver : 30003'
