2467497 - System inaccessible after updating SAPUI - SAP ASE for BS


  • You have upgraded the SAPUI5 component on your system and the update finished successfully. After that you have started SGEN on all the components, which failed and the system is inaccessible.
  • The application log in Windows Event viewer is flooded with the following error:

Basis System: Runtime error "DBIF_REPO_INTERNAL_ERROR" occurred.

  • In dev_w0 you could see the following error:

  • You have restarted the system but when trying to login, you are getting "rabax during sapgui logon" message.
  • You have set the profile parameter "login/quiet_mode" to 0, according to KBA 2429578 - How to deal with error "rabax during sapgui logon", but then when login, you don't get any field to enter user name/password, but at the bottom of SAP GUI you can see "Internal error when accessing program SAPLSGUI".
  • R3trans -d is returning RC=0000.
