Symptom
This KBA provides clarification for the alert/validation message when instructor trying to send email to multiple users registered in a scheduled offering.
Environment
SuccessFactors Learning - B1702 and above
Reproducing the Issue
When an instructor try to send email to multiple users registered in a scheduled offering, a pop up alert appears with below message.
Cause
As part of LRN-15031, there is a restriction on the length of the email IDs supported by the browsers and each browser’s limit is different. If instructor selects many students and their email IDs length exceeds this limit then browser is not opening email client. Hence, Product Engineering team added a validation message if selected user's email IDs exceeds greater than a number (1620 characters).
Resolution
To use this functionality, instructor needs to deselect some of the users when the limit exceeds 1620 characters.
