2439360 - 2540 Table Corrupt: Page is allocated but not linked - ASE


The following error is reported when running checkalloc with no object name reported:

SQL Server message 2540, state 1, severity 16:
Table Corrupt: Page is allocated but not linked; check the following
pages and ids: allocation pg#=282420496 extent id=1548288 logical pg#=1548320
object id on extent=1548323 (object name = Invalid pointer param number 5, pointer value 0x18) indid on extent=822696760

  • Subsquent 2521 error is reported on a sytem table with the same page number

SQL Server message 2521, state 1, severity 16:
Table Corrupt: Page is linked but not allocated. Run DBCC TABLEALLOC
to correct the problem. (alloc page#=282420496, extent id=1548288, logical page#=1548320, object id in extent=1548325, index id in extent=24, object name=sysstatistics)

  • dbcc page on page 1548320 reports the following error
