Symptom

  • xp_cmdshell fails with 'Msg 11216' and 'Msg 11206' using 'CIS'. 
  • No error entry in ASE error log.
  • XP server error log shows "Invalid authentication. Please contact Sybase Technical Support."
  • xp_cmdshell works using site handler instead of 'CIS'
