2422154 - Picklist showing UNAVAILABLE in Panels - Onboarding 1.0 [Integration with BizX]

Symptom

  • BizX picklist displaying UNAVAILABLE value in Drop down field, No other value is populated
  • Picklist is not appearing in onboarding
  • Picklist is not populating with values or not displaying any thing

Environment

SAP SuccessFactors Onboarding 1.0 - All Versions

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Login to SAP SuccessFactors HCM and navigate to Admin Center
  2. In Admin Center, go to Manage Onboarding Settings
  3. Under Settings, click Panels
  4. Find the affected process and panel where the BizX Picklist Field is added
  5. When trying to select a picklist, the word UNAVAILABLE shows

Cause

This Issue occurs because of connectivity and integration between Onboarding and BizX. It is generally seen in the following scenarios:

  • During and after Onboarding Account Copy (Refresh)
  • A key in Onboarding back end is null due to disabling SF_BIZX_Connection
  • Incorrect or missing API Authentication User in SF_BIZX_Connection

Resolution

If you are receiving this issue, either the service login at the back end is locked and needs a reset. In addition, there are cases like after a refresh app configuration keys in back end have a null value; please reach out to SAP SuccessFactors Cloud Product Support in SAP One Support Launchpad via SAP Expert Chat or Support Incident to have this rectified. In addition, follow the template when creating an incident and provide the needed information below.

For Implementation Partner(s) and Consultant(s)

The reason for picklist showing UNAVAILABLE is due to integration issue in the back end. In some cases, due to cross-environment integration there are following app configuration keys that causes error due to null value. See below on how to fix this kind of error.

 

Correct BizX-ONB and ONB-BizX Integration

  • Ensure that BizX is linked to correct Onboarding account and vice versa
  • Cross-environment integration is not a best practice as it will cause unnecessary errors (for example, BizX (Production) while Onboarding (Preview)
  • The API Authentication User should be present in both Onboarding's Security Users and BizX's User Directory with same UserID
  • Service Login should be unlock
  • If configuration looks good but issue still persist, try to deactivate BizX connection and re-activate

 

Account Options Config Keys Missing Values

  • BX.OAuth.Secret and BX.Urls.OData key does not have value at the back end, it means that the Onboarding is mapped to a different environment
  • If this is blank, you need to reach out to SAP SuccessFactors Cloud Product Support in SAP One Support Launchpad via SAP Expert Chat or Support Incident

 

Create SAP Support Incident
