2417315 - Error when logon to NetWeaver Server

When using Analysis for Office to Logon to NetWeaver Server, after inputing logon information, you get one of below error messages:

• Field not found: 'SAP.Middleware.Connector.RfcBaseException.NCO_ERROR_INVALID_PARAMETER'
• Field not found: 'SAP.Middleware.Connector.RfcTrace.defaultTraceLevel'
• Method not found: 'Int32 SAP.Middleware.Connector.RfcBaseException.get_ErrorCode()'

SAP Analysis for Microsoft Office

1. Start Analysis for Office
2. Click "Insert Data Source" button  -> "Select Data Source"->Skip "Logon to SAP BusinessObjects BI Platform"
3. Select one NetWeaver Server ->Click "Next" button ->input logon information->Click "OK" button

NCO(.NET Connector) version in GAC(Global Assembly Cache) is lower than expected version 3.0.18.0.

1. Please first download and install the latest version of SAP BusinessObjects Analysis 2.4, edition for Microsoft Office from SAP Service MarketPlace(https://launchpad.support.sap.com/#/softwarecenter).
2. Then download the .NET Connector 3.0.18.0  from the SAP Service MarketPlace according to Windows version(32-bit Windows or 64-bit Windows)and install it as described in SAP Note 2323523.This should update the GAC.
3. If the GAC is not updated,you can manually do the following:

            A. For 32 bit version Microsoft Office,

                 A1) First copy C:\Program Files (x86)\SAP BusinessObjects\Office AddIn\sapnco_utils.dll   to   C:\Windows\Microsoft.NET\assembly\GAC_32\sapnco_utils\v4.0_3.0.0.42__50436dca5c7f7d23  and overwrite the "sapnco_utils.dll" file.

                 A2) And then copy C:\Program Files (x86)\SAP BusinessObjects\Office AddIn\ sapnco.dll   to   C:\Windows\Microsoft.NET\assembly\GAC_32\sapnco\v4.0_3.0.0.42__50436dca5c7f7d23 and overwrite the "sapnco.dll" file.

            B.For 64 bit version Microsoft Office,

                 B1) First copy C:\Program Files (x86)\SAP BusinessObjects\Office AddIn\sapnco_utils.dll   to   C:\Windows\Microsoft.NET\assembly\GAC_64\sapnco_utils\v4.0_3.0.0.42__50436dca5c7f7d23  and overwrite the "sapnco_utils.dll" file.

                 B2) And then copy C:\Program Files (x86)\SAP BusinessObjects\Office AddIn\ sapnco.dll   to   C:\Windows\Microsoft.NET\assembly\GAC_64\sapnco\v4.0_3.0.0.42__50436dca5c7f7d23 and overwrite the "sapnco.dll" file.

• Please be note that since 2.4 SP 3 and the move to NCO 3.1 (compared to 3.0) the issue described above should not occur any more. Please upgrade to the newest version.
