You are not able to sort candidates in the candidate summary of a requisition based on the values in custom fields like nationality, gender etc.
Reproducing the Issue
Go to the candidate summary of any requisition.
In the talent pipeline, sort the candidates based on the values in any custom field like Nationality, Gender etc.
The values in this custom field are not sorted in the correct alphabetical order.
In Provisioning >> Configure reportable Custom Fields, the same custom field id is mapped as reportable in the Application section as well as the Candidate section, but under different table indexes.
In this case, the mapping of the field in Candidate section is overriding the mapping of the same field in the Application section.
There are 2 ways to handle this:
1. In Provisioning >> Configure reportable Custom Fields, you can remove the mapping of the custom field id either from the Application or from the Candidate section. In this case, since you are trying to sort the candidate applications based on the sorted column, it is suggested that you remove the mapping of the custom field id from the Candidate section and retain the mapping in the Application section.
2. If you remove the mapping of the custom field id from the Candidate section, you might lose the reportability of this candidate profile field in Ad hoc reports. So, the better approach is to map the candidate profile field with the same table index as you have mapped the candidate application field.
For example, you are trying to sort the candidates based on the custom field 'dummyfield' with type 'picklist' which is defined in Application template as well as Candidate profile template. In Provisioning >> Configure reportable Custom Fields, if you have mapped 'dummyfield' as picklist1 in the table for custom reportable fields in Application, then you need to map 'dummyfield' as picklist1 in the table for custom reportable fields in Candidate profile.
Once this mapping is completed, the sorting will work fine.
