Resolution

For Live Customer(s)

The system uses a default calculation for Due Date. In addition, it can also be configured in the back end by an SAP Certified Partner or Consultant. Below is how the system calculates the Due Date per step.

Step 1: Post-Hire Verification

Due Date Formula Description
DueDate = HireDate + 5 Days If the data key "HireDate" is not pass from SAP SuccessFactors Recruiting via Initiate Onboarding or a 3rd-party Applicant Tracking System (ATS), the activity creation date is taken as the HireDate's value

Step 2: New Employee Step

Due Date Formula Description
DueDate = OrientationDate If the "OrientationDate" data key is populated with a value, the New Employee Step's DueDate is equals to OrientationDate.
DueDate = PHVCompletionDate + 14 Days If the "OrientationDate" data key is not populated or not exist, it will use the date when Post-Hire Verification step is completed "PHVCompletionDate" plus 14 days.
DueDate = Current Date + 14 days If the "OrientationDate" and "PHVCompletionDate" data key is missing, DueDate will be calculated with Current Date + 14 Days

Step 3: Orientation Step

Due Date Formula Description
DueDate = OrientationDate + 3 days If the "OrientationDate" data key is populated with a value, the Orientation Step's DueDate is equals to OrientationDate plus 3 days.
DueDate = NESCompletionDate + 14 Days If the "OrientationDate" data key is not populated or not exist, it will use the date when New Employee Step is completed "NESCompletionDate" plus 14 days.
DueDate = Current Date + 14 days If the "OrientationDate" and "NESCompletionDate" data key is missing, DueDate will be calculated with Current Date + 14 Days

Additional Reminder

  • For notifications, the DueDate is taken based from the selection set in Reminder Configuration
  • There is no default due date for I9 Re-verification process
  • This also applies for OFFBOARDING activities as well.
