This article explains a system expected behavior when candidates attempt to apply to jobs on RMK sites using e-mails already registered in RCM.

The default Recruiting System candidate application pipeline is designed to be started on the Company Recruiting Marketing website. The candidate will find the job on RMK and apply to it. In order to do so, it will be necessary to create a Candidate Profile on the system and all the information created on this profile will be passed later to RCM automatically. If for some reason the candidate already has an RCM account created, RMK will identify that and ask the candidate to create a single password for both accounts. This will ensure that the candidate using email@example.com e-mail in RMK is the same candidate that registered firstname.lastname@example.org in RCM.
As a system expected behavior, it is just necessary to orient candidates to follow the correct workflow when synchronizing both accounts.
When attempting to apply to a job in RMK using an e-mail already registered in RCM, the candidate will get the message below:
As the system says, in order to ensure the account synchronization, it is necessary to accomplish steps one and two. The step one requires the candidate to click the “Click here to reset your Password” hyperlink to have the password reset.
When clicking the aforementioned hyperlink, the candidate will get the message below and an e-mail will be sent to the registered e-mail account.
The link on the e-mail received will send the candidate to the RMK password reset screen.
Right after submitting the new password, candidates will get to the page that might misdirect them from the procedure being followed so far. After having the password reset, the new screen has a SIGN IN button that should not be clicked in this process. Instead, candidates need to get back to that old Account Verification page that is still open in another tab to continue the process.
Back on the Account Verification page, the step two requires the candidate to provide the just created password and click “Submit”.
(If the candidate clicks the “Sign In” button, they will be able to log into the system only once. As soon as they log off from the system, the new password will not be accepted again and a new one will be required).
After clicking “Submit”, the account synchronization will be completed and the candidate will be able to complete the application process.
