The Assignments under the Resource Scheduler work center when edited show all fields greyed out.
Reproducing the Issue
- Go to Resource Scheduler work center.
- Go to Assignments view.
- Open any Assignment.
- Select the Edit button.
- The Assignment cannot be edited, the options are greyed out.
The Assignments are greyed out because they are not marked as Released.
Only Released Assignments become available for editing/processing.
This is expected system behavior. Assignments can be edited from the Assignment view only if the Assignment is released by the resource planner to process it.
On the Resource Scheduling view, the Assignment can be marked as Released using the Edit Assignment button.
Please note that you still will not be able to add notes in the Note fields. Notes can only be added from the Service Ticket and Service Ticket Item. The Assignment itself does not support Notes.
