  • JAVA function is not working after executing a command 'shutdown SYB_BACKUP'

    1> select java_func_test.java_func_test("sysobjects")
    2> go                                                                                                                                                                                                                                
    sysobjects from java   
    1> shutdown SYB_BACKUP
    2> go
    Backup Server: The Backup Server will go down immediately.  Terminating sessions.

    1> select java_func_test.java_func_test("sysobjects")
    2> go
    ASE is terminating this process.

  • When executing a command 'shutdown SYB_BACKUP', following message might be logged on DB log.
    PCI(M1): WARNING: pci_shutdown_tpm; There is 1 Task(s) actively connected with the PCA/JVM (Waiting).
    PCI(T1): WARNING pca__check_in_trusted_dir; No definition found for pca_jvm_tmp_dir in the PCA/JVM Config Manager (File I/O operations require a definition for the system temp directory)
  • When executing a command 'shutdown', following message happened and the command was failed to run.
    1> shutdown
    2> go
    Msg 10762, Level 16, State 1:
    Server 'ase1570', Line 1:
    Cannot initialize the Java Virtual Machine because either the Java class library or PCA plugin library is missing, corrupted, or incompatible with the current server release. Contact your System Administrator for help.
