2375493 - Period Status in the Employee Time Sheet Appears as Not Calculated

Symptom

On checking the Time Sheet of the Employee XYZ(where XYZ represents the Employee), you see that Period Status appears as Not Calculated.

 or

Error: Offsetting account PQR not valid on On DD.MM.YYYY

(where PQR represents the Time Account)

Environment

SAP Business ByDesign

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Go to Time Administration work center
  2. Go to Employees view
  3. Go to Time Recording sub-view
  4. Search for the Employee XYZ 
  5. Select Open Time Sheet
  6. In the Time Entry tab, select the Calendar Week using the backward and forward button or select Go To in order to display Time Sheet for selected period

 You will see that Period Status appears as Not Calculated

 or

For the Employee XYZ, in the Administer Day Closure Runs, you see this error in the Application Log.

 or

While taking any action related to this Employee XYZ, you may see this error.

Cause

The Valuation is failing for the Employee XYZ On DD.MM.YYYY.

and that is due to non-assignment of Time Account PQR for this employee on date DD.MM.YYYY.

Resolution

  1. Go to Time Administration work center
  2. Go to Employees view
  3. Search for the Employee XYZ  and Click on Edit
  4. Go to Time profile tab
  5. Ensure your date DD.MM.YYYY is covered in one of the time profiles by checking the start and end dates ,If its not there then add new time profile
  6. select the time profile that covers your date DD.MM.YYYY
  7. Go to Time Account Rules tab 
  8. Add the Time Account PQR
