2371757 - Option dsi_bulk_copy can cause a SIGNAL 11 crash for DSI connection to Oracle - SAP SRS

  • SAP Replication Server is configured to replicate to Oracle Database
  • The option dsi_bulk_copy is set to "ON" for the Replication Server or for the DSI connection to Oracle Server

The DSI connection can crash the Replication Server with a SIGNAL 11 message:

dbg_dump_stack ()
exc__appDumpStack ()
exc_terminate ()
linux_catch_signal ()
NULL (), lib: /lib64/

This stacktrace is a generic stack printed by Replication Server when encountering SIGNAL 11 error.
This trace is useless to diagnose the problem.

To get full traces, restart the Replication Server by using the diagnostic binary file names: $SYBASE/REP-15_5/bin/repserver.diag.
Edit the RUN_FILE used to start the Replication Server, and change the name of the binary from repserver to repserver.diag.
Then, restart the replication server.

Now we get the complete stacktrace which defines the problem:
