2352166 - BI 4.2: BEx option is missing in Desktop mode in BI Launchpad

Symptom

  • Clicking on BEx option in Desktop mode reflects the below error in BI Launchpad in BI 4.1 Support Pack 5 and below:
    Server error:
    com.businessobjects.sdk.core.server.CommunicationException$UnexpectedServerException: Unknown Error in SL Service.
