2343620 - How to report on Workflows using Canvas / ORD reports ?

This article lists the standard reports available for reporting on Workflow data.

Resolution

We currently we have 4 standard reports in EC for tracking workflow information.

Open Workflow Request:

The Report gives an overview about all current pending workflow request  indicating whom it concerns what kind event or action has to approved and who is the approver.

Result:

The list output shows data regarding workflows of employees and their respective approvers. It  gives an overview about all pending approvals indicate the event of the approval. Sorted by the Request Id.

The list shows in the first row the workflow id followed by the event reason code which indicates what kind of action has to be approved followed by the approval status label with LAST NAME (3) and about FIRST NAME (3) which designs more specifically what kind of changes or actions are to be approved. The effective start date of the action is the next column followed by the Last and First Name of the employee which action or event has to be approved.

Workflow Request Analysis:

This report lists all employees who have made a workflow request either by themselves or on behalf of another employee. You can also view the reason of the request and the workflow duration (start and end date).

Result:

The report lists employees with their Event Reasons, WF request details (e.g. WF for/by/step) as well as Step Duration.

The output is ordered by the employees’ last name and first name.

Workflow Audit Statistics:

This report lists the total number of entire workflow requests for certain events together with the status of the workflow.

Result:

The report lists total number of WF request Status with their Event Reasons.

Workflow Processing Time Statistics: 

The report consists of two pages.

The 2nd page of the report shows the details of each Wf request step with the processing time with each processor/approver.

The 1st page uses the same query from 2nd page and provides some statistics, i.e. number of workflow requests and average processing time per processor separated by request type (this can easily be adjusted by a customer) - Report has columns like “workflow Overall Status” and “Wf Steps Status”; for them it’s also possible to use it as runtime filters. This allows e.g. to exclude workflows which are pending or rejected. However, it’s possible also to exclude e.g. only the step which is pending or rejected but to consider workflow steps with status COMPLETED.
