When a user try to perform Associate to Account and contact from lead Actions the primary contact of lead is copied to the duplicate check accounts in the details pane pop up.
Reproducing the Issue
- Go to Sales workcenter.
- Choose Leads view.
- Search and open lead ABC (ABC represent lead ID)
- Choose button Actions.
- choose option Assosciate with Account and contact.
- In duplicate check result for account for which primary account is not maintained.
- Lead contact is taken as the primary contact for the accounts shown in Duplicate check results.
Since after you execute the action Associate to Account and contact, the Contact (Status "In Preparation") you have maintained in the lead will be converted to the Contact Person ( Active) to the account(without contacts) you selected from duplicated list.
For Example: TAke a lead ABC (ABC Represent lead ID) has Company:XYZ; Contact First Name: TEST;Contact Last Name: SAP.
when you execute Action Associate to Account and contact in the duplicated list when you select account DEF (DEF Represent accoutn ID showing in the duplicate check result) which does not have contact, then after you save the association, the account DEF will have primary contact TEST SAP which converted from Lead.
So in the Popup screen, it shows correct information TEST SAP as primary contact and it is the correct behaviour.
This is correct behavior.
