When Employee applies leave it goes to manager for approval. If manager rejects the leave application then employee is notified via email but no data is stored in system from where employee can track the rejected leave request.
This is a standard behavior. Except email notification in the instance, is there any place from where employee can view the rejected leave detail?

Employees to be able to see their own rejected leave details, please follow the below steps:
1. Provide the Employee View = Manage Time off access in Employee Self Service permission role in the Manage Permission Roles admin tool.
2. Under Manage Time off, instead of' all' Permission provide 'view' permission for Time Accounts, in the Employee Self Service permission role using Manage Permission Roles admin tool.

Effect of providing view only permission on Manage Time off -> Time Accounts:
Request Time off and Manual Adjustments options are removed.
Two different status of the cancelled / rejected leave will show depending on whether the workflow was already approved:
LOA cancelled before workflow approved will have status cancelled.
LOA cancelled after workflow got approved will have Declined status.
