How do I create a “Calculated” Measure/Member?
You can create calculated measures/members within charts or tables from the existing columns in your spreadsheet.
Note: This feature is only available with data sources using the raw data/flat vertical table format. Data formatted with a pivot/crosstab will not have the option to add a calculated measure.
Calculated measures include:
Calculated members include:
- Day of the Week
- Month of the Year
- Hour of the Day
Creating a Calculated Measure:
Choose your desired table/chart and open the chart editor. Tap Plus(+) and select "Measures".
Tap on the Plus(+) to create your calculated measure.
Choose your "Base Field", your desired "Summary Totals" and update your "Title". The new “measure” is at the bottom of your list of measures.
Creating a Calculated Member:
Choose your desired table/chart and open the chart editor. Tap Plus(+) and selectMember.
Tap on the Plus(+) to create your calculated member.
Choose your Base Field, your desired Group By and update your Title. The new “Member” is at the bottom of your list of members.
