In the Online Report Designer, you can create queries through the "Detailed Reporting" or "Advanced Reporting tool. These Queries can contain columns from data or so called "Calculated Columns". The latter offer to multiply values from existing data fields and a number of operations to pre process the data to display specific items of interested. Calculated Columns also enable to format data, count or create "if/else" columns for values to displayed depending on custom defined rules. The Calculated Colums may display information for some users, while being blank for others.
This is happening when a column is a calculated column which grabs the data from either of two tables. If you report on these individual columns in a query, you will see actuall data for none or one field for the user with the issue, but not both.
The reason for this is because of cell security. The application can not show the result of a calculated column unless all columns referenced in the calculation is visible to the user. If one or more fields are not visible to the user for this row due to cell security the calculated column is empty.
The workaround is to add both columns to the query with appropriate names and use this instead of the calculated column.
