2305583 - How to remove Duplicates from Candidate Profile background elements

Symptom

The Candidate Profile shows duplicates on Background Elements when the Employee Profile without duplicate

Environment

Successfactors - RCM - Candidate Profile

Resolution

Since b1602 release a new feature has been introduced about it.

A scheduled job has been developed to allow the synchronization EP-CP, as consequence the duplicates on CP will disappear.

This job run automatically, no possible to run it manually, only those two actions will trigger it:

  1. Via Provisioning back-end   (for Partners only)
  2. Setup and run a  “Live Profile Import”  of  “Backgound Information
  3. Selecting the option  “Overwrite Existing Data
  1. Via User interface front-end:
  2. Admin Centre > Import Extended User Information > Background Information
  3. selecting the option  “Import by re-loading all data with your new changes”   (this means “overwrite”)

After the import, using one of the methods, the new Job will appear under  Provisioning > Monitor Jobs :
Job Name : CAND_USER_BG_SYNC  -   Job Type: Candidate User Background elements Sync

And the “Job Executor”of that Job will appear as:

-          the Username under “Job Owner” field  (if you used method 1.)

-          the Username that made the import in Admin Centre  (if you used method 2.)

 

The expected behaviour after this kind of imports will be:
-
EP will reflect the import file you uploaded
- and CP will reflect EP


 Then in order to remove the duplicates in CP, the correct approach will be:

1.       Download the background elements (for every user)

2.       Re-upload them in order to trigger the automatic sync
