2289663 - Changing Date Format in PDF Forms - Onboarding 1.0

Symptom

  • The date format is displayed as MM/dd/yyyy; however, dd/MM/yyyy format is desired.
  • Date fields in forms are not editable in Super Admin.

Environment

SAP SuccessFactors Onboarding

Cause

  • The standard date format is MM/dd/yyyy, but depending on the locale, the date will be displayed in the forms.
  • Even after changing the locale, if the date is not displayed in the correct format, you can modify the configuration of the date format using a PDF editor.

Resolution

For this change it's required to have access in Onboarding Super Admin.

  1. Go to Super Admin.
  2. Select Account.
  3. Select Forms.
  4. Select Forms Fields.
  5. Click on the Date field
  6. If you see information (data key) in HRDataKey field, then remove that information.
  7. After removing, you will be given a chance to edit the Value field.
  8. Update the value field with the below code {<datakey>, DateFormat=dd/MM/yyyy}

For example:

{DateOfBirth, DateFormat=dd/MM/yyyy}

Note 1: If the fields are not editable then delete the form and reupload it through super admin site. Third party application (PDF) introduces noneditable field property if the form is uploaded through onboarding application.

Note 2: MM, which represents the month, must be uppercase.
