2269837 - How to: Share reports from Detailed reporting


Reports created in Detailed Reporting are not available for sharing with users who have no right to create reports.


Due to Detailed Reporting in the Online Report Designer is a Query design tool, there are no means to share them. A query is defining which data can be drawn from the SuccessFactors Application.


It is recommended to use the report designer tool as the reports designed here have multiple sharing options. Depending on the type of query, you can add them as data source for report components in the report designer.

You would need to:

  1. Create a report in the report designer
  2. Create a page &edit it
  3. Add for example the List Report Component 
  4. Edit the query behind the component and choose "select" instead of create a new query
  5. There you can select the existing queries created in detailed reporting.

Once a report contains at least one page, you can share it to the report menu, which is situated on the left hand side. You can even create different folders which can be made visible or invisible for different analytics users/roles.
