When you want to edit the Introduction area in Public Profile by entering some texts in Japanese or Chinese and click Save,sometimes an application error as below will pop up even when system still reminds you *** characters left:

Reproducing the Issue
Go to Employee Files>Public Profile,
Click Edit Profile>Introduction tab>Enter some texts only in Japanese (Or Chinese) characters until the caption message reminds you 158(or any number <158) characters left.
Then an application error will pop out.
The characters you have entered exceed the maximum amount 341 when it comes to Japanese or Chinese character due to byte limits.
The maximum amount of character bytes allowed in Public Profile Introduction is 1024 bytes.
Usually, under UTF-8, Alphabet, number, space,half-width punctuation are seen as 1 byte, while Chinese characters, Japanese characters, as well as full-width punctuation are counted as 3 bytes.
Hence for text only written in Japanese or Chinese(without space or number or half-width punctuation), due to byte limitation, the maximum amount of characters will be 341.(341*3=1023),but not 500 characters as showing.
