Environment
- SAP SuccessFactors Employee Profile
- SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central
Reproducing the Issue
Unable to revert to Employee Profile V12 through Upgrade Center
Cause
10 days has passed since upgrade to People Profile using Upgrade Center
People Profile not initially upgraded via Upgrade Center
Resolution
If upgraded to People Profile through the Upgrade Center, you have 30 days to revert back via the Upgrade Center:
- Click on View Recently Completed Upgrades
- Click on Undo Button
If 30 days has passed and undo button is not accessible or your instance was not upgraded to People Profile through the Upgrade Center.
You can still revert back to Employee Profile V12 by opening an incident with Cloud Product Support with the writin approval and inform the Instance for which you need the reversion.
Cloud Product Support will be able to disable People Profile from the back-end and run a process to refresh RBP settings. (This is needed in case there is configuration difference between PP3 and V12 Profile. This will make sure RBP “Employee Files View” permission be consistent according to EP configuration.).
Steps:
- Go to Provisioning;
- Then Company Settings;
- Scroll down and Disable the below option:
People Profile — requires “Role-based Permission (This will disable Administrative Domains)”, “Enable Generic Objects”, “Profile V12 (WARNING: Please perform the upgrade within Upgrade Center instead. If you use this setting, you cannot easily switch back to V11 Profile. If Upgrade Center is not available, you should back up scorecard settings in Provisioning before proceeding with the upgrade.)”, “Version 12 UI framework (Revolution)” and “Enable the Attachment Manager” - Refresh the RBP
