2259140 - Couldn't load library and during SQL Server connection from Linux


Connection from linux platform to remote SQL Server fails with the following errors in the dev trace:

Loading DB library '/usr/sap/<SID>/DVEBMGS00/exe/' ...
*** ERROR => DlLoadLib()==DLENOACCESS - dlopen("/usr/sap/<SID>/DVEBMGS00/exe/") FAILED
" cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory"  [dlux.c       550]
*** ERROR => Couldn't load library '/usr/sap/<SID>/DVEBMGS00/exe/' [dbcon.c      7084]
***LOG BYG=> could not load library for database connection AZURE [dbds         972]
***LOG BZY=> unexpected return code 8192 calling DBDS [dbacds       2029]
*** ERROR => Unexpected RC when calling dsql_connect and ODBC driver have already existed.



  • SAP System running on Linux machine (distributions are described in SAP Note 1644499)
  • Remote SQL Server 2005 and higher


SAP NetWeaver 7.3
