2238927 - Access Deploy Content To Server Option No Longer Displayed


No deployment location or server is available when attempting to import / upload content


SAP SuccessFactors Learning Management System - LMS

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Logon to LMS Admin
  2. Navigate to Content > Tools > Import Content
  3. Select an Action to add content & click Next
  4. Select a file to Import content to the content server
  5. Note that the option to select a deployment location is not displayed


  • The admin user does not have the correct permissions to access deploy content to server
  • The deployment location has been de-activated or deleted


Ensure Admin User has needed permissions:

  1. Logon to LMS Admin
  2. Navigate to System Admin > Security > Role Management
  3. Search for a Role the Admin belongs to
  4. Navigate to "Workflows" tab on the left
  5. Expand Content and look for the workflow "Access Deploy Content To Server"
  6. If it is not there, add it
  7. If it is there, check the domain restriction - does it allow access to the domain the Deployment Location belongs to?

To add a deployment location:

  1. Logon to LMS Admin
  2. Navigate to Content > Deployment Locations
  3. Click Add New
  4. Enter server information
  5. Save the changes
