A user of Workforce Analytics (accessing it directly rather than through BizX) requires an external password reset, because the answer to the secret question is either unknown or was never set.
SuccessFactors Workforce Analytics
Depending on how the user was first created, the reset page may present a default or arbitrary secret question that was not set up by the user and thus cannot be answered correctly. It can be set up later in Change Password, once the user has access again.
If any user exists in a role with the "Edit Users" action enabled (see Admin - Roles Maintenance), that user can go to Admin - User Maintenance, search for and select the locked-out user and click Reset Password to receive a single-use password to pass on.
The same action allows a user to change another user's role, to provide the ability to reset passwords to other users.
To change a role to allow the above requires the admin user's role to have an additional action "Edit User Roles".
If, after all of the above, no admin user is available to reset the password, SuccessFactors support engineers can do it using exactly the same method. Simply put a request in a new incident ticket. If you are not the user in question and you wish to maintain full security for the user, provide the user's active email address and we will send the temporary password directly.
