Many permissions and routing capabilities in SuccessFactors Recruiting Management are controlled based on a user’s role on a job requisition.
In some occasions, an end-user or a system administrator might need to know the operators and its designator values. An example is when system administrator configures the operators on a form route map approval chain.
SAP SuccessFactors Recruiting Management
A predetermined list of operator fields are supported, each operator field has a related designator. Please verify below the referred mapping.
The V designator defines the permissions all recruiting users who are approvers on a job requisition route map receive when viewing the requisition. This is in addition to any other role that they may already have on the requisition. For example, the originator ('O') will always also have the 'V' role permissions assigned to them because originator is always part of the route map. If the recruiter ('R') is not involved in the route map then they will receive only the 'R' permissions and not 'V' as well.
Operator designators determine permissions for users listed in the operator fields and also the users listed in the operatorTeam fields. Even though the V designator does not have an operator field ID, you can still define a vTeam. The vTeam will simply assign the 'V' role to anyone who is added as part of the team. This will work the same as any other operator team role. This will allow users who are added to this group the permissions to see job requisitions and associated fields permissioned for 'V' role.
In addition to the operator fields, you can set up permissions and routing to users who have a defined relationship to the operator users. These relationships are derived from relationships established in the user data. The following table shows supported relationships to the operator fields, and the corresponding designator for each relationship.
Most operator designators (R) can be appended with a relationship designator (M) to indicate a relational operator (RM). In this example, RM would mean the recruiter's manager. The exception is V, which cannot be set up relationally, because it does not hold a single user but defines baseline permissions for users who are not in a specific operator or team field.
Please note, the relational role xC is currently not supported in the route map.
