How the System Calculated Fields work?

There are some standard elements (fields) that are automatically populated by the system based on the employee’s data. See below a list of these fields and a brief explanation on how they are populated:
- Date of Position: this field can be populated in two ways:
Time in Current Position: the system calculates this information based on the "Date of Position" field information. If the “Date of Position” field is blank, the “Time in Current Position” field will be defaulted to “N/A”.
Time at Company: the system calculates this information based on the Hire Date value.
Previous Position: the system populates this information with the title value of the second most recent record within “insideWorkExperience” background information.
Previous Employer: the system populates this information with the “employer” (Company Name) value of the most recent record from “outsideWorkExperience” background information.
Team Members Size: the system populates this with the number of direct reports that are immediately below the user in the hierarchy.
Total Team Size: the system populates this information with the total number of direct reports including all levels down the hierarchy.
- Calculated based on the start date of the last record from “insideWorkExperience” section;
- Manually updated by the Employee Profile (Self-Service) or through the Personal Information Import.
