2212202 - Errors 1105 and 3475 may occur after removing a logsegment from tempdb with sp_dropsegment - SAP ASE

Symptom

  • Unused log space in tempdb is not being updated after running sp_dropsegment to drop a logsegment from a device allocted to tempdb.
  • This inaccuracy can lead to 1105 and 3475 errors in the tempdb.
  • The problem occurs when the tempdb has data and log separated prior to running sp_dropsegment.
