SAP SuccessFactors Employee Profile
b1508: You can now upgrade your existing Employee Profile UI to the new People Profile UI, while conserving your existing profile configuration settings. You can then use the new People Profile configuration tool to refine and optimize the layout of your new profile, as the old settings may not always result in an ideal presentation in the new design.
REQUIRED: People Profile needs to be enabled for your instance
- Go to Admin Center
- Click on Employee Files
- Select Configure People Profile
When looking at the Configure People Profile Screen, you’ll see a list of available blocks on the right-side panel, and the current blocks, sections and subsections you currently have on your profile, on the left side panel. You can use an easy drag-and-drop interface to add sections, subsections, and blocks to the profile.
When clicking on General Settings on the top of the page, you have the option of Configuring the Header fields, as well as settings for the Background Image, and other additional features depending on which modules you have enabled. In addition, you’ll be able to select from which process and what date range the talent blocks will pull their ratings as well as include In Progress Forms or not. Keep in mind that this doesn’t apply for the sysOverall Blocks, as those will always display all data available.
In order to add a new Section (the darker grey ones on the top), you should scroll all the way down and click on the “Add New Section” button. If you click on one of the sections you have the option to add translations to it, as well as hide the section by unchecking the “Show this section on the profile”. Hiding a section will hide the blocks that are within this section in the Profile Interface, for all users, regardless of permissions.
As for Subsections (the ones on the left side of the blocks), they are created automatically when you include a new block in between two subsections. As for hiding and renaming those, it works the same as sections, but hiding a subsection will only hide the blocks on that row.
On the Available Blocks list, you’ll see the list of blocks available for inclusion on the profile depending on which SuccessFactors Modules you have implemented. In addition to those, if you scroll all the way down to the custom blocks, you’ll see the Live Profile Background Information Block. If you add that you’ll have the option to choose between the custom Background Elements that are created on your instance. If you want to create new background elements to add on this section, please refer to the article 2803695 - Creating and Configuring Background Elements Using BCUI.
