2205978 - Remote user with permission gets login error with procedure

Symptom

  • The following invalid login error occurs when executing a remote user procedure even though the user has the right permissions:
Could not execute statement.
  Unable to connect to server 'sapserver': [Sybase][ODBC Driver][SQL Anywhere]Invalid user ID or password
  SQLCODE=-656, ODBC 3 State="HY000"
  Line 1, column 1
  call test_rem.SysRemoteUsersRemote()

  • Once a user who owns remote procedure logs in, calling the procedure no longer returns the invalid login error
