2197582 - Unable to Modify Sales Organization and Distribution Channel in a Account

Symptom

You are trying to modify/update the Sales Organization and Distribution Channel in the Sales Data of an Account through Mass Data Maintenance. But, even after successful migration, the value has not changed.

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Go to Mass Data Maintenance work center.
  2. Select Import Customers link
  3. Update the file
  4. After validation, select Execute Import

Cause

The Sales Organization and Distribution channel are key fields and are not modifiable. This is something that is present in the Account (Sales Data) screen too and Migration emulates the screen.

Resolution

This is expected system behavior.
