Reproducing the Issue
- Import a SCORM 2004 package with the content import tool
- While going through the import wizard choose to create a new item for that content
- Assign the new item to a user when the import is complete
- Now launch the content with that user, you may notice that it launches with a wrapper that has the extra buttons mentioned
This is expected behavior for SCORM 2004 content. The default is to show the buttons in a frame at the top of the page, however this can be changed by editing the imanifest file.
Some buttons can be removed by hiding them from the wrapper. This is done by adding the following section to the imanifest file:
Remember to import the content again after a change is made. The following is an example of hiding the exit button in the wrapper:
<!--The metadata node simply declares which SCORM version this course operates under.-->
<schemaversion>2004 2nd Edition</schemaversion>
<!-- There is just one organization. The organization contains just one item.-->
<title>Sample Single SCO</title>
<item identifier="item_1" identifierref="resource_1">
Note: The buttons can be hide from the frame with the above configuration at the manifest file, this change is performed by the Content Developer, responsible for the Content and configuration changes. Also, if desired to modify the frame itself, Content Developer should be engaged to verify it, since it is also handled by the Content.
If additional help is required for this change, consider to engage a Certified Partner or SAP Professional Services team.
