If Internal Candidates tries updating the information present on their Candidate Profile, fields are not editable.
SuccessFactors Recruiting Management (RCM)
Role Based Permission (RBP)
Reproducing the Issue
- Log to your SuccessFactors system;
- Go to Careers;
- Open Candidate Profile;
- Fields are not editable.
If instance do not have Role Based Permission (RBP) enabled, fields that are mapped between Employee Profile and Candidate Profile, will reflect the permissions specified in the Succession Data Model for internal candidate profiles, regardless of how they are permissioned in the Candidate Profile XML.
In case the instance is configured with Role Based Permission, since B1708 Release, Candidate Profile fields which are synchronized to Employee Profile (sm-mapped) will also follow the RBP permissions instead of Succession Data Model permissions.
Non-RBP Instances: To modify this behavior on Live instances, please contact Support Team so we can verify permissions defined on XML and proceed with updates needed to permissions set on Succession Data Model Template.
- Go to Admin Center > Set User Permissions > Manage Permission Roles.
- Select the Permission Role you would like to modify (depending on the granted and target population).
- Click the “Permission” button > select “Employee Data” tab > enable View and/or Edit permission for the desired Employee Profile fields or background elements > click on “Done”.
- Click on “Save Changes”.
