2158674 - How to Return Specific E-Verify Statuses During Testing (Mock SNN) - Onboarding

Symptom

  • How do the E-Verify panels present and behave?
  • In the staging Onboarding environment, there is a 'mock' E-Verify system that may be turned on for testing purposes
  • You may only test E-Verify in staging as in the production site the E-Verify system is communicating with the DHS (Department of Homeland Security)
  • The DHS frowns on any testing in their production environment
  • You would like to test the E-Verify system for training purposes for a deeper understanding of the responses.

Resolution

In stage, you may use the number formats below to produce specific returns for your test E-Verify activities.

  1. Note: The format is in a Social Security Number (SSN) format: ###-##-####
  2. As an example, when you see this format 11#-##-####, you must put the 11 in the correct place holders for the SSN to return an Employment Authorized response
  3. Because ONB will not accept '#' as a number in the field, you may add any numbers you wish to complete the SSN. Example: 123-45-6789
  4. Please see the columns below to get the desired training results:
