2131633 - SYBASE_SAM_CAPACITY licensing capacity setting is not intended for this system - SAP ASE


When trying to license a Linux RedHat KVM with a Small Business Edition license without making use of subcapacity inside the VM but using full host capacity the ASE does not start reporting the following error:

kernel SySAM: Using licenses from: /sybase/SYSAM-2_0/licenses/myhost1.lic:/sybase/SYSAM-2_0/licenses/myhost2.lic
kernel SySAM: The SYBASE_SAM_CAPACITY licensing capacity setting is not intended for this system.
This machine partition or virtual machine does not appear to be part of the machine from which the SYBASE_SAM_CAPACITY value was obtained.
kernel License manager initialization fails.
kernel There is no valid license for ASE server product. Installation date is not found or installation grace period has expired. Server will not boot.
