Reproducing the Issue

Automated job broadcasting to Standard Job Distribution partners (Organic Network):

Customer jobs are automatically distributed to many of the interactive sources used today like job aggregation sites and free job posting sites. SuccessFactors maintains a partnership network with a number of job aggregators and job boards that drive traffic to SuccessFactors customer sites.

Automated (no customer effort needed) feeds are set up on the customer’s go-live date. The objective of this program is to select partners that deliver not only quantity of candidates but also quality of candidates. SuccessFactors also holds these partners to very high standards and policies to ensure a quality candidate experience. Many job boards and aggregators in the industry have job distribution practices that are not candidate friendly. SuccessFactors cannot control the practice of every global job board or aggregator; however, the network does aid in providing the most direct connection of candidates to your Talent Community. Other notes:

  • Partners are asked to not re-distribute customer jobs to other 3rd parties
  • Partners are asked to not require registration of candidates on their site (though some have this as mandatory)
  • Only relevant jobs are sent to relevant sources; for example, an engineering job board partner only accepts engineering relevant jobs. Additionally, CollegeRecruiter only selects a handful of internship, college graduate or entry-level postings.
  • Upon request, a customer can be supplied a code that prevents selected jobs from being in this job distribution program.
  • Not all sources accept all jobs from the feeds, and some may be a case by case basis. SuccessFactors cannot guarantee that all jobs will always be posted, nor the success of the postings. Results may vary from customer to customer.
  • The SuccessFactors Recruiting Marketing Media team is continually working with new organizations to add more sources to SuccessFactors base product offering.
  • A Task must be submitted to Recruiting Marketing Media team by the customer Project Manager to ensure process is set up (recommended at minimum 3-5 days prior to RMK go-live).

The process to implementing a custom Job Distribution strategy:

  1. Source Intake Form: Have client complete the Source Intake Form of their current job boards (sources) and submit the completed document to the Recruiting Marketing media team (contacts below).
  2. Source Analysis: The Recruiting Marketing media team will do a first pass review of the customers sources and provide an initial consultation at $0 charge as part of the standard process. This determines what the initial approach would be and determines a simplified Yes, No, or requires further research or cost as it relates to job board (source) capabilities. The estimated time to have this evaluation varies based on number of sources to evaluate but can typically be returned in one business week.
  3. Additional Research / Testing: The Source Evaluation & Analysis may come back with many sources that are unknown or un-tested. Additional or significant testing and/or validation to further qualify source capability is scoped by Recruiting Marketing media team and included in a Statement of Work (SOW).
  4. Statement of Work (SOW): The SOW will identify any cost associated within the Project Plan.
  5. Project Plan: Once the project plan (or) commercial terms of the SOW (if applicable) are agreed upon the Recruiting Marketing media will provide a suggested implementation plan and timeline for implementation.
  6. Additional Media Services: If the customer is interested in The Recruiting Marketing media team’s additional services – such as Agency of Record (AOR) or campaing managment; a media services presentation and overview might additionally be suggested.

Pricing for all Media Services will be established prior to start of any media project.

Recruiting Marketing media team offers several areas of support in the implementation, support and management of customers Job Boards and Media Sources. Each implementation requires the Job Board Intake Evaluation and analysis by a Recruiting Marketing Media team member before any Statement of Work (SOW) or custom work can be committed to a customer. This is critical to ensuring that Recruiting Marketing does not create expectations that have not been confirmed technologically or commercially possible by the experts on Recruiting Marketing.

Add-on Option: Setting up a Custom Source  Recruiting Marketing media team creates XML feed connections to many major media sources, aggregators, niche boards and job boards across many industries.  All of the sources determined custom (attached) have been validated and tested as being able to automate job distribution through Recruiting Marketing platforms but require special customization. This includes any XML feed that requires a level of filtering, client specific customization, and/or detailed “on-call” support from the Recruiting Marketing media team to create and deliver to the source.

  • Example 1:  Only Nursing Jobs are sent to a Niche Healthcare site.
  • Example 2:  Any job with “Sales” in the job title are sent to a Niche Sales site
As core of the Recruiting Marketing Platform, SuccessFactors can provide these automated and intelligent job content distribution XML feeds. This is accomplished by customizing XML feeds (the wire transfer of content between the customer ATS and the media source) SuccessFactors will build and code intelligent “rules based” routing off of key job dimensions.  The XML feeds require the Recruiting Marketing media team to scope, build and design rules for customized feeds.
  • Key job dimensions may include (but not limited to): ad code, job title, job department, customer name, business group, geography, facility etc.
  • Please note, while it is a widely popular method of job distribution ‐ not all media sources accept XML feed technology.  A dedicated technical analyst or media analyst will work with customer to identify this technology with any requested media sources and implement if the media source can comply.
  • Most XML feeds can be created within 1‐3 business days, while custom XML feeds may on occasion require longer.  A dedicated technical analyst will review each XML feed request and respond within 1 business day if more than 3 business days will be needed to create a custom XML feed.
  • As part of the project timeline scope SuccessFactors will include the estimated set up time of the media source (job board) to also implement the XML feed.  The timeline of implementation varies by media source (job board) from 24 hours to up to 10 business days.
  • Extremely custom XML feeds or requests for bulk feed creation (numerous) will need a project plan around the requested scale of work.  For example, if 50 XML feeds need to be created, SuccessFactors will intake the request and respond with a project quote that will include:
    • Estimated timeline of completion  o Quoted cost
    • Any details, requested requirements to ensure project is completed to specifications
  • XML Feeds are an option for RMK/Rx clients only as Job Distribution is available for clients that are live in a Production environment.
  • Note:  An inventory (job posting/slots) contract is normally required by the receiving source prior to the XML Feed delivery.  This may be done by the client directly with the source, via the client’s agency, or with the RMK Media Team.
The first step is submitting the Source Intake Form to Recruiting Marketing media team and they will evaluate the sources on the list. Standard Cost: While the cost for “Standard” XML Feed Cost is $0; “Custom” XML feeds require a purchased subscription. The cost for “Custom” XML feed integrations are based on subscription pricing over a period of time. The base subscription pricing is $1,000 USD annual (or currency equivalent).  Included in the subscription is:
  • The XML feed built to job board’s specifications
  • Technical Support with the job board
  • Unlimited changes to filtered rules
  • Additional technical support (if required) and upon request
  • Configuration with RCM (or your ATS) if possible to pass job posting codes
*Discounts are available for purchases in bulk number of XML feeds or for leveraging Recruiting Marketing Agency of Record (AOR) Services.   Add-on Option: Research & Development of an Unknown Source Do you have a job board that you have not seen on the list? SuccessFactors is able to work with any interactive source online that can accept XML feeds via HTTP. XML feeds are generated directly out of the SuccessFactors platform and can be customized to fit the content requirements of most sources.  After custom XML feeds are generated, the job site will import jobs and start driving candidates directly to the customer’s Recruiting Marketing site. The first step is submitting the Source Intake Form to Recruiting Marketing media team and they will evaluate the sources on the list. Standard Cost: the standard cost for researching and engineering development of an unknown sources is scoped upon request; but typically estimates $750 USD per source or currency equivalent (one time fee). In addition setting up a custom XML feed connection to the source is $1,000 USD annual (or currency equivalent) per XML feed. While the cost for “Standard” XML Feed Cost is $0; “Custom” XML feeds require a purchased subscription. The cost for “Custom” XML feed integrations are based on subscription pricing over a period of time. The base subscription pricing is $1,000 annual (or currency equivalent).
