- Apply the "plldegree" table-level attribute on individual SAP ASE tables and indexes at the database-level via the sp_chgattribute stored procedure.
sp_chgattribute tab_name, "plldegree", degree_no will set the parallel degree
- Subsequently, though, when either update statistics is run, or if housekeeper flushes the table level stats, then the systabstats.plldegree for the respective table is reset to 0.
- This disables consideration of parallelism for that table until the sp_chgattribute is re-executed.
