Symptom
The first of these relates to the page synchronization status which doesn't change after modifying/removing the component in one of template slots.
Problem 1: Page Synchronization Status
In a situation like the one shown on the image above, the user is able to synchronize the modified component but if he removes the site logo, it won't be possible to synchronize this operation from Staged to Production, because the page synchronization status will be: synchronized.
Moreover, when we get back to the main view with all the CMS pages, all of them would have a synchronized status, and then we might be unaware of the change.
Problem 2: Synchronization of the CMSComponent's References
For example, let's take a look at the Camcorder Banner component which has a media reference. If we assign the new media to this reference (or change the assigned one to another one) the synchronization status will be changed to: unsynchronized. But if we edit the already assigned media (change to an alternative name) then the synchronization status of the simple logo won't change.
