  • New users cannot log in.
  • Error 1204 is followed by Error 3914 in the ASE errorlog:

Error: 1204, Severity: 17, State: 2 occurred for User '<User name>'. Client IP address is '<IP Address>'.
Error: 1204, Severity: 17, State: 2
ASE has run out of LOCKS. Re-run your command when there are fewer active users, or contact a user with System Administrator (SA) role to reconfigure ASE with more LOCKS.
Error: 3914, Severity: 26, State: 1
Illegal internal transaction status.  This is an internal system error.
