You have adjusted the employment of employee ABC in the Org Structure and when activating the changes, system throws below error message:
Activation failed: resolve all errors
Employee ABC (ID XY) has more than one position assignment per time frame
Reproducing the Issue
- Go to Organizational Management work center.
- Select Edit Org Structures under Common Tasks
- Highlight the Org Structure.
- Select Activate All option from the drop down list of Activate button.
The employee ABC is assigned to more than one Org unit for a particular time interval. This is possible only if he/she is internal employee and also service agent.
You have terminated this employee on DD1/MM1/YY1 from an Org unit and assigned the service agent role to another org unit starting from DD2/MM2/YY2. If there is a overlap in the valid to date of the employee and valid from date of service agents, then the system throws above error message while activation
Ensure that there is no overlap in the assignment of the employee in the Org Units. I. e. If you terminated an employee from an org unit then his/her service agents assignment to another org unit should start on a date, after the termination of the employment.
