- Visual Studio 2010 .NET application is deployed to a client computer
- To deploy the Crystal Reports runtime, the CRVS2010 MSM or MSI is used
- Running the application result in the following error;
Error in File {report name} {D5D84E7F-54DB-4BCA-B3C3-0A169CDC36D7}.rpt: Failed to load database information
Environment
- VS2010
- Crystal Reports for Visual Studio 2010
Cause
- Both the MSM and the MSI files for CRVS2010 are missing the database driver crdb_filesystem.dll
Resolution
- The issue is resolved in Service Pack 2 for Crystal Reports for Visual Studio 2010
- Service Pack 2 and associated MSM, MSI and ClickOnce files can be found on the Crystal Reports for Visual Studio 2010 Reference page
- Alternative solution:
- Copy the file crdb_filesystem.dll from the development computer to the client computer
- CRdb_filesystem.dll is in the following directory on the development computer:
C:\Program Files (x86)\SAP BusinessObjects\Crystal Reports for .NET Framework 4.0\Common\SAP BusinessObjects Enterprise XI 4.0\win32_x86
