1422140 - How to Add A User Defined Sales Phase in Sales Cycle


SAP Business ByDesign allows a customer to define sales phases in Sales Cycle activity in Business Configuration Work Center. When you open Sales Cycle, click maintain sales cycles, you can see all phases. When you check Maintain Activities in Sales Assistant, you can see standard sales phases by default.

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Go to Work Center Business Configuration.
  2. Go to View Implementation Project.
  3. Select a change project and select button Open Activity List.
  4. Select Fine-Tune phase.

In Fine-tuning Activity Sales Cycle, select maintain sales cycles, you can see all sales phases. But in Sales Assistant, click Maintain Activities, you can find standard sales phases by default.


By default, system only lists standard sales phases in activity Maintain Activities, but customer can assign user-defined sales phases in corresponding sales cycle.


In case you want to assign user-defined sales phase in sales cycle, please add sales cycle in Assign Activities to Sales Phases. You can find user-defined sales phases by selecting value help in sales phase column. After that, please add activities to this phase and assign sequences.
